Lauren Allyn Carter

Lauren is from the great state of Georgia and city of Gainesville (also known as the poultry capital of the world). Uninterested with the pursuit of chicken, she ventured to Cincinnati, OH where she obtained a BFA in Acting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. While in Cincinnati, Lauren performed in Twelfth night as Viola, the Female Doctor/Tour Guide in Middletown, Grace in Tigers Be Still, and Fortinbras in Hamlet.

At CCM, she received voice and speech training from Rocco Dal Vera and D'Arcy Smith. Lauren is also trained in Alba, Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, Stanislavsky, and Suzuki taught by Richard Hess, Susan Felder, and Giles Davies. She is certified in rapier dagger and unarmed stage combat under the coaching of K. Jenny Jones.

Outside of theatre, Lauren enjoys running, a good book, collecting plants, and sneaking food under the table to her Australian Shepherd who stays extremely loyal for this reason. She is also lawfully ordained to perform marriages, but has not been given this privilege…yet.
